Joe Rogan has been one of the biggest personalities associated with Spotify and earlier this year, he renewed his multi-million dollar deal with the platform. He seems having fun about it as the new deal gives him a bit of freedom as well. However, there is one concern about Spotify that Rogan recently brought to light, and cautioned his JRE guest about it.

Estonian comedian Ari Matti, who’s performed on popular platforms like ‘Kill Tony’ and Joe Rogan’s ‘Comedy Mothership’, made his maiden appearance on the JRE podcast. He mentioned to the host about a new podcast he’s starting in his native tongue, Estonian. However, before he added anything else, the 57-year-old gave him a small warning about an AI feature that could ruin his whole endeavor.

Joe Rogan reveals a new feature of Spotify

Ari Matti revealed to Joe Rogan that the name of his podcast translates to a bit of a vulgar phrase in English. At that moment, the JRE host stopped his guest to ask, “Do you think Spotify will translate to English? Maybe you’ll be the first that goes the opposite way,” Rogan stated on the #2186 JRE episode, as was concerned about how Spotify would interpret his Estonian humor in English because of a new AI feature.

As far as Matti was concerned, he agreed with the host about the potential dangers of the new feature.“Bro, if AI translates this podcast, I’m f***ed, you know,” Ari Matti replied. Given how big of a corporation Spotify has become over the years, Joe Rogan is convinced that there is no one to stop them from doing what they want. And understandably so, Matti could fall victim to people’s misinterpretation.

“So this is the thing. They’re gonna do that. Spotify is going to do that… Also, sense of humor, sarcasm, and when you translate it into English, you’d sound like a Nazi,” Joe Rogan added. Meanwhile, he also painted the real picture of the world of comedy and how jokes and jibes are blown way out of proportion.

JRE host reveals the problem with “talking sh*t”

Comedians and their topics of comedy know no bounds. There have been multiple times when they’ve even stirred controversies, but Joe Rogan believes it’s all in good fun. It’s about entertainment after all and the 57-year-old claimed that they’re just looking at the funnier side of things. “It’s the problem with satire and humor and what is for lack of a better term, it’s called taking sh*t. This is what we do in the podcast, this is what we do in the green room [and] this is what me and my friends love to do all the time,” Rogan stated.

“We say things that we don’t mean because it’s funny, we say things that are inappropriate because it’s funny and it is 100 percent done with fun.” What limits comedians, as per Rogan, is the sensitive nature of people’s perceptions.“The problem is today, people like to take things and pretend you’re saying something when that’s not what you’re saying,” Joe Rogan added.
