On one such episode, Rogan was joined by the noted MMA figure, the ‘Mighty Mouse’, Demetrious Johnson. The duo went on to discuss a variety of stuff mostly related to the fight game.

Joe Rogan thought Demetrious Johnson’s technique was unmatched

Rogan started off by stating his complaint, saying, “One thing that really bothers me is that they don’t address you”. He was talking about the UFC. Rogan continued, “When you talk about the elites of the elites and some of the greatest ever, and show highlight reels. How the f**k do you even leave out Mighty Mouse?”

The ‘JRE host’ was visibly displeased that an outstanding mixed martial artist like Demetrious Johnson never found his mention in the documents of the ‘all-time-greats’ of Dana White’s UFC.

Rogan added, “Coz like for years, I was saying that you’re the best ever. For years”. He also seemed disheartened that the UFC didn’t bother about his opinion as well.

The UFC commentator also justified his opinion about ‘Mighty Mouse’ saying, “The expression of technique. If you look at what he has been able to do there, who the f**k is better?”. Rogan implied that the way Johnson applied his skills to a fight was unbeaten.

He reiterated, “The expression of technique, if that’s what we are really concentrating on? Is excellence.” He also added with bewilderment, “How the f**k do we ignore that?”

It can be said that Rogan was annoyed by Dana White and the UFC’s decision, not to give a mention or feature to ‘Mighty Mouse’ in their highlights and promos.

Demetrious Johnson also gave his views

Johnson also presented his views on why the UFC might have taken such a decision. He stated, “I think it’s because I’m still active”. Rogan countered him, saying, “So what? It doesn’t hurt anybody”. Johnson agreed, “I know, I know”.

Rogan admitted he wasn’t considering the business part. He said, I’m not a businessman clearly.” Johnson stated, “I’m not either”. He reiterated, “But, I think because I’m still active.”

The Mighty Mouse then joined the ONE Championship. Johnson described that people wouldn’t like to see a champion who left the UFC when he could have continued fighting. In his opinion, the UFC also sighted this reason and decided to leave him out of their promotional reels and other videos and documents.

Do you think the UFC should add ‘mighty Mouse’ to their ‘all-time greats’ list?
