Jon Jones is one of the best fighters in the UFC and sits atop the promotion’s pound-for-pound rankings. The former light heavyweight champion is all set to make his debut in the heavyweight division.

Ahead of UFC 260, it was believed that ‘Bones’ would fight the winner of the main event, but now, his fight against Ngannou is no closer than it was before the event.

Jones and the UFC are in the middle of a financial dispute, as the fighter has clearly expressed that he is not happy with the amount of money UFC is paying him for the fight.

What does Jon Jones think about the money?

Jones recently took to Twitter and wrote about how he thinks they should pay him more for a fight of this magnitude. ‘Bones’ tweeted, “I just want respectable numbers, so that I don’t feel like a fool entering the biggest fight of my life. “

Many people have condemned Jones’s attitude, and they have not liked the way Jones he been asking for money. But many fighters and fans have supported Bones’ desire to get paid more, and Michael Chiesa is one of them. ‘Maverick’ Chiesa believes Jones deserves to be paid more but is going about it all wrong.

During an interview, the welterweight fighter talked about the same. He said, “Where Jon is going about it wrong is this outcry on social media. He knows who to call: you call Hunter Campbell and you get the deal done. You start negotiations that way. You’re getting off on the wrong foot by getting out on social media.”

Is Jon Jones’s demand right?

Jones is a decorated and tenured UFC fighter who has put his body on the line for the promotion for over a decade. Hence, he is right in believing that he needs to be paid the right amount of money for his future fights.

However, fans may believe that Jones’s route to get what he wanted was wrong, as he should not have taken the negotiation public. But his demands are right, and he should choose the right way to go about demanding the same.
