Because boxing judging is alot like MMA judging in that its more about guys who also donate to political campaigns and keep the right people happy. I bet if you checked, alot of these judges donate to both the local parties and know who to apease.

There have been a lot of controversial decisions in the UFC. When Michael Bisping fought Mat Hamill, Hamill dominated the first two rounds, landing a lot of takedowns. In the third round, Bisping seemed to get the better of Hamill, but the ‘Count’ landed nothing significant which would win him the fight. When the decision came out, the judges declared Bisping the winner via a split decision. This decision did not sit well with the fans and people blamed the judges for the same.
There have been various similar instances when fans have believed that the judges have got a decision wrong. While many have raised suggestions, such as live scoring, it will be interesting to see the actions taken to solve this issue.
