UFC 305 delivered some epic action, a couple of controversial moments, and a championship defended successfully. With an amazing main event between Dricus du Plessis and Israel Adesanya, it would be safe to say that Dana White‘s promotion’s return to Down Under was a major success. Now, it seems like they are planning to return as Dan Hooker might have accidentally spilled the beans on when Australia will have its next UFC event.

After a brutal three-rounder against Mateusz Gamrot, Dan Hooker sat down for an interview with ‘TheMacLife’, where he was asked about his fight among many other topics of conversation. While revealing that he has a baby on the way, and he and his wife are expecting the child in February, he accidentally leaked Dana White’s plans for next year in Sydney.

“There’s another card in [February] ah, well. Can I say that?” Dan Hooker may have realized his mistake when he spilled that out, but guess what? It was too late as ‘TheMacLife’ interview was convinced that “They’re doing a card in Sydney in February.” The UFC 305 PPV made a total gate collection of $5,477,097 and such, so there’s no reason why the promotion can’t come back again.

The UFC went to Australia in the month of February in 2023 for a PPV and we got an amazing fight between Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski. Is that what the UFC CEO is cooking right now? Meanwhile, let’s look at the most benefitted fighters from UFC 305.

Dana White and co. awards bonuses to two fighters

There is no doubt that Dricus du Plessis and Israel Adesanya earned a handsome payout for their headlining fight. Reports claim that ‘Stillknocks was guaranteed a base salary of $500,000 while ‘Izzy’ was set to earn a base salary of $750,000. However, after all the add-ons, reports claim the final payout for du Plessis stood at $1.9 million while Adesanya took home a $2.5 million cheque. This might have been the South African’s biggest payout to date.

Moving over to the bonus side of things, UFC 305 did see a couple of quick-fire knockouts. Kai Kara-France and Carlos Prates took home the $50,000 after knocking out Steve Erceg and Li Jingliang, respectively. As we’ve already mentioned, the UFC 305 card was full of some exciting fights, compared to some of the recent PPVs, including UFC 301, which fans claim to have been a major bust for the promotion.
