Things have started to go downhill for UFC’s biggest star Conor McGregor after what unfolded at the culmination of his civil lawsuit. After facing a big wave of backlash for his legal owes, ‘The Notorious’s businesses have also taken a significant hit. The most recent blow to McGregor’s businesses involves his alcoholic beverage brands, which had been his biggest successes outside of the Octagon.

Conor McGregor made big money when he sold his shares of the Proper 12 Whisky brand for a reported $150 million price tag, as the total selling amount of all the shares amounted to more than $600 million. That automatically made him the richest MMA fighter in the entire world. The brand’s value skyrocketed, leading him to introduce a stout brand by the name Forged Irish Stout, which would grow to become just over $4 million in value, attracting multiple distributors, including the Musgrave Group-owned SuperValu and Centra stores.

However, in the wake of his legal mess, where he was on the wrong side of the judge’s decision and was asked to pay over $260,000 for damages, the Musgrave Group has decided to withdraw from its partnership with Conor McGregor. As reported by ‘The Independent’, a representative from the Irish food wholesaler company would make a statement, claiming that “these products are no longer available to our store network.”

It’s certainly a big blow for the Irish superstar because the Musgrave Group is the leading company when it comes to food service. Even other big companies like Tesco, SPAR, and Costcutter also cut their ties with the former UFC double champion. Meanwhile, Conor McGregor lost a partnership with a renowned video game franchise as well, which was his first leap in the industry outside of the UFC video game franchise.

Conor McGregor has also been dropped from the ‘Hitman’ franchise

The ‘Hitman’ series has been one of the most-played third-person games, known for its stealth gameplay. In the most recent edition of the game, ‘Hitman 3’, its developers, IO Interactive, dropped a downloadable content pack (DLC), where Conor McGregor played the role of the villain/target – an MMA fighter by the name of ‘The Disruptor’. Fans shared hundreds and thousands of clips on social media, making their attempts to try to take out the former UFC double champion in many creative ways. However, with the recent civil lawsuit loss to plaintiff Nikita Hand, the game developers have decided to stop selling that DLC anymore.

“In light of the recent court ruling regarding Conor McGregor, IO Interactive has made the decision to cease its collaboration with the athlete, effective immediately,” the ‘Hitman’ developers stated on X. Besides, IO Interactive faced criticism from Conor McGregor’s DLC drop a few months ago due to the cloud of controversy that surrounds the UFC superstar. But gamers may be able to access their content if they had purchased it before these legal problems came to attention.
