Cerrone will enter the octagon for the first time since May 2021. He is currently in the worst form of his career, having lost five of his last six fights- one ended in a no contest. Before his winless streak, he had won three fights in a row.

‘Cowboy’, who signed with the UFC back in 2011 and even challenged for the UFC lightweight title in 2015, would love to get back to the win column when he takes on a fellow UFC veteran.

Lauzon, who made his UFC debut against former UFC lightweight champion Jens Pulver in 2006 at UFC 63, is a 15-year UFC veteran.

‘J-Lau’ last entered the octagon in 2019, coming off an 18-month layoff. He snapped a three-fight losing streak with a TKO win over Jonathan Pearce at UFC on ESPN 6. Lauzon has focused more on coaching in recent years, but a fight against Cerrone seems to be the perfect opportunity for him to return.
