Politics is never an out-of-bounds topic for Joe Rogan on his JRE podcast. While having a conversation about the 2024 elections, the 55-year-old mentioned what he liked about Robert F. Kennedy Jr. This led Donald Trump to blast the JRE host, opposing his nod to RFK Jr. But in an interesting turn of events, the ex-POTUS recently claimed that everything with the JRE host is just fine despite his social media outburst on Rogan.
Donald Trump’s podcast tour was going strong as he dropped by on Lex Fridman‘s podcast. It wasn’t a surprise when the host raised questions about Joe Rogan for mocking his seeming endorsement of RFK JR. Does Trump still have a sense of enmity with the biggest podcaster in the world? Well, the former president, despite going off on Rogan, claims things have never escalated between him and the 57-year-old.
“I don’t think there was any tension. I’ve always liked him, but I don’t know him,” said Donald Trump. He would go on to claim to appreciate the work Joe Rogan put in as Lex Fridman termed the JRE host the “greatest conversationalist in the world.” Trump added, “I see him there and I think he’s good at what he does.”

When the conversation shifted to the post Trump shared against the longtime UFC commentator for supporting RKF Jr., the former president opened up about his social media game, claiming that there have been certain times when he made some mistakes. “Yeah, I do [regret some of his posts] but not that often,” Trump added. Additionally, he would also reveal the problems he faces when he’s on social media, mostly the ones that pop up when he attempts to share someone else’s post.

Donald Trump explains his social media handicap after sounding off on Joe Rogan
During the final days of his term as President, Donald Trump had more than 80 million followers on Twitter (now X). However, he lost all that momentum after the platform decided to suspend his account permanently, citing that Trump’s tweets were interpreted in such a manner that raised the risk of violence. The former president claims that reposting others’ tweets is what gets him in trouble more often than not.
“I do a lot of reposting. The ones you get in trouble with are the reposts because you find down deep, they’re into some group that you’re not supposed to be reposting. You don’t even know if those groups are good, bad, or indifferent,” Trump further stated. He also emphasized how reposts gain more traction much more quickly than the posts he shares on his own, and that’s why he prefers his own platform, Truth Social.

“When you do it with your own words, it’s sort of easier, but the reposts go very quickly… It’s worked out pretty well for me. I tell you, Truth is very powerful, and it’s my platform… goes everywhere. I call it my typewriter,” Trump added.

Donald Trump even debunked rumors about his associates looking to land a spot on the JRE podcasts, claiming that he has no problems going on Joe Rogan’s show if he’s invited. But as we already know, the 57-year-old wants nothing to do with Trump. What do you think? Will we ever see these two personalities having a conversation across the table in the future?
