‘Don’t Be Scared Jonny Boy’- Francis Ngannou Responds to Jon Jones’ Comments

UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou took to social media and fired back at Jon Jones for his verbal jab on Twitter. ‘Bones’ has been vying for a fight against the undisputed champion and thus far hasn’t been able to secure a match-up.

Jon Jones is unable to strike a deal with the UFC, however, he undoubtedly wants a piece of Ngannou. Not many fighters are actively looking to step into the cage with ‘The Predator’, but Jon Jones isn’t backing down.

Ngannou isn’t one to shy away from a verbal tussle either and he clapped back at the consensus GOAT. Francis Ngannou doesn’t seem to like the fact that Jon Jones is choosing to sit on the sidelines through 2021. The French-Cameroonian fighter would definitely like to secure a payday by Jon Jones at the earlies.

Ngannou vs Jones is a blockbuster fight that has the entire MMA community pining to receive the news of its booking. As it stands, however, Jon Jones and the UFC just can’t seem to see eye to eye and the fight is being delayed. Derrick Lewis is expected to face Ngannou next in what is expected to be a banger in its own right.

Will Jon Jones ever secure the bout against Francis Ngannou?

Many fight fans would consider it an absolute travesty if Jones vs Ngannou doesn’t get put together. Both men are in their competitive primes and the bout is compelling from a stylistic perspective. Jon Jones recently took a step in the right direction with regards to putting together the fight against Ngannou.

Jones parted ways with Abe and Malki Kawa out of First Round Management and has joined aboard with Richard Schaefer. Schaefer is a pro boxing promoter who was involved in bringing Golden Boy Promotions to the forefront.

Additionally, Schaefer has a good relationship with UFC President Dana White and the UFC brass and he’ll likely be able to put a deal together. Jones vs Ngannou is the fight that fans want and it’s up to the power that is to ensure that it comes together.
