Being at the top of his sport, Gordon Ryan receives quite a lot of challenges from fellow Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners. However, not every one of them gets a chance to fight the BJJ legend. Recently, Ryan sent a message to one such challenger and asked him not to beg.

With a call-out for a 10-minute match by Nicky Rodriguez, after winning the open-weight tournament at UFC Fight Pass Invitational 4, all eyes went toward Ryan. The beef between Rodriguez and Ryan had been brewing for quite a while now. Ryan has also attacked Rodriguez and accused him of using performance-enhancing drugs on multiple occasions. Now, Nicky Rod has sent a challenge for Ryan to settle the score, once and for all.

Gordon Ryan sends a snarky response 

Ryan has always tried to take a jab at Rodriguez. The BJJ legend bashed him for using too much grease in his fight against Felipe Pena. Furthermore, Ryan also pointed out that Rodriguez didn’t have a natural body on social media. When Rodriguez seemingly had enough, he sent a challenge to Ryan. But Ryan responded with a quirky IG story.

He took to Instagram stories and wrote, “You barely beat Roberto, a guy I called my sub on, had a war with vagner, a guy i called my sub on, got your arm broken by a junior, literally did next to no jj in regulation, and you have my name in your mouth? Stfu. We fight in a tournament, where you make no money and gain no relevance off my name for losing to me, again, and you put your own money up when it happens. I make the rules, and I am jiu jitsu. Don’t beg anymore, it looks ugly.”

Bjj Legend Gordon Ryan Rubs His Hands as Rival Nick Rodriguez Accepts USADA Offer

Ryan reminded Rodriguez of his match against Roberto Jimenez and Vagner Rocha. Thereafter, he dissed his rival and asked him to keep his name out of his mouth. Finally, he displayed his confidence as he declared that he was indeed the one who made the rules.

Nicky Rod sends a challenge to Ryan

After defeating Dan Manasoiu with an impressive rear-naked choke at UFC Fight Pass Invitational 4, Rodriguez issued a challenge to Ryan. He not only put forth a challenge for a match but also set some conditions.

He stated that he wanted a 10-minute fight with Ryan, as per EBI overtime. The next condition was that both of them should be cleared by USADA before the bout. The rivalry seems to be growing day-by-day with no signs of stopping.
