‘Don’t Blame Yourself’- Francis Ngannou Supports Miranda Maverick Following Her Controversial Loss to Maycee Barber

Miranda Maverick competed in one of the best UFC fights of the year when she faced Maycee Barber at UFC vegas 32. This fight was incredible as both fighters gave it their all throughout the 3 rounds. In the end, they declared Barber the winner via split decision.

Many people believe that this decision was not fair, and that Maverick deserved to win the fight. However, despite the loss and the decision, Maverick has held her head high. She had recently taken to social media to write about the fight and how she still has a long way to go.

She wrote, “Thank you all for helping take the sting away. The setback hurts for sure, but I’ve got a long way to go! My rise will be great. For now, I’ll just learn to stick my landing I’ll be back to work with @hersheycompany tomorrow, along with regaining my focus on completing my thesis, & prepping even bigger things for my future tomorrow.”

Since the fight ended many people have shown their support for Maverick. Joining the list is UFC Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou. ‘The Predator’ replied to Maverick’s post as he wrote, “Don’t blame yourself you done everything right. Keep it up and enjoy the life.”

Miranda Maverick is a young fighter and getting support from a UFC champion would have certainly meant a lot to the fighter.

What next for Miranda Maverick and Francis Ngannou?

Miranda Maverick is a very young fighter and has shown that she has a lot of talent and can go far in the Flyweight division. The Flyweight fighter would look to get over the loss soon and try to face some top-ranked fighters in the near future.

Meanwhile, ever since Ngannou became the UFC champion, the heavyweight division has been in disarray. Recently ‘The Predator’ was being touted to face Derrick Lewis in his first title defense fight. However, now Ngannou has been sidelined as Lewis will face Ciryl Gane for an interim heavyweight title.
