Conor McGregor is arguably one of the most noted fighter in the UFC. Owing to his spectacular run in the octagon, ‘The Notorious One’ boasts a huge fan following on social media. We know McGregor for his posts on various social media platforms, which often spark controversies. There are multiple posts from the Irishman, which have received the attention of the netizens, albeit, many times negatively. A recent photo posted by McGregor was subjected to the same fate.

The photo showed McGregor all buffed up and sitting over a couch, which he captioned as, “Arnie.”

It was evident from McGregor’s caption that he believed he looks like the legendary bodybuilder, Arnold Schwarzenegger, in his posted snap. But most of the fans had different views about it.

Although McGregor’s current stature is definitely huge, but most of the fans weren’t ready to compare him to the luminary Schwarzenegger. One of them took a dig at McGregor’s post by commenting, Don’t compare yourself to a true legend.

Some others trolled the Irishman far more brutally, as they commented, “1/4 sized Arnold figurine.” While another user felt that Conor was a “Pocket size Arnie.”

Also, it’s pertinent to note that the light in the photo was coming in from an awkward angle. Some of the fans perceived this to be a photoshopped image and went on to taunt the ‘Mystic Mac’.

A fan tried to put his ideas straight, commenting, “Looks like you’ve been photoshopped in this picture.”

Some others took a more humiliating approach. A user commented, “Photoshop – and you’re a foot smaller than Arnie and you’re juicing full time with a personal chef and trainers – not impressed.”

Yet another user iterated, “When you go on fiver *photoshop me in so my wife thinks I’m At home.”

The Reasons for the trolls

‘Mystic Mac’ has been subjected to such negativity and trolling comments from netizens previously as well. The rematch offer with Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather was also turned down by McGregor. This might be a major factor in the backlash he has been receiving of late.
