

In the latest edition of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, WWE Legend Ric Flair appeared as the special guest. The 1-hour podcast also featured the current UFC women’s bantamweight queen, Julianna Pena, that paved the way for more interesting conversations.

‘The Venezuelan Vixen’ secured an upset win over Amanda Nunes at UFC 269, who is hailed as the greatest female mixed martial artist of all time.
‘Iron’ Mike, a massive MMA fan who follows UFC keenly, knew that UFC 269’s co-main event wouldn’t be an easy outing for ‘The Venezuelan Vixen’. During the conversation, Julianna Pena’s manager revealed what transpired right after Amanda Nunes found herself in the rear-naked choke and was forced to tap out.

He said,” Fun fact after the fight, the first person to call me that was screaming was Mike, like ‘she did it’. He was calling me, he face-timed me right as I walked out of the arena.”
When Pena asked Tyson whether he watched her fight, ‘Iron’ replied, “Yeah, I was so happy. I thought that she was going to kill you. I was like ‘oh god, there’s a f**king chance you are gonna f**king get hurt. Don’t do that s*t’.”

Tyson also stated that he was scared for Pena’s safety and even felt she shouldn’t take this fight. The Lioness dominated not one, but two divisions in the promotion, which made her the greatest female fighter of all time. However, Pena remained confident and stunned the world with a result that no one anticipated.
