Kevin Holland isn’t the one to take the accusations of him lying down and let it slide. The ‘Trailblazer’ took to his Instagram and put out a response video for Joseph Holmes‘ accusations. He put forth his side of the narrative and stated how he recounts the story rather differently. Holland said, “We were at the XKO fights having a good time, enjoying ourselves, and we’re on our way out. Of course, I see ‘Ugly Man’ Joe, not going to deny that. He was walking up the stairs, I was walking down the stairs.”

Holland continued by saying that when they initially crossed paths, Holmes was already involved in a scuffle with another person on the aisle. And that’s when everything started to tick between them.

“I was like bro, ‘Chill out.’ As soon as I put my hand up to say chill out, he grabbed me. As soon as he grabbed me, we kind of almost went flying down the stairs. Quick reactions, neither one of us fell over.” continued the 30-year-old.

The American fighter made it clear that he had no beef with Joseph Holmes. According to him, Holmes pulled him into the mix for no apparent reason. He washed his hands of the whole situation and made it known that he didn’t want to be a pawn in someone else’s game. Holland said, “All I remember is him getting into a fight and me breaking it up. Sounds good… All the other stuff is drama that you(Holmes) have, and that’s between you and another man. Don’t use my name for clout, don’t put me in your bs.”

Having said that, the Californian also offered big bucks to Joseph Holmes for a sparring session, while casting doubt on his assertions that the latter had given him a contract.
