Brian Ortega and Tracy Cortez are having a bitter verbal war after their breakup. The breakup of the couple became the talk of the town when Ortega came up with an unexpected statement that he hadn’t messed up with the relationship, but that it was a “complete pass” from his end. When his ex-girlfriend came across the tweet, she finally decided to react to his claims. Ortega and Cortez made their relationship public in 2020. Even before that, the UFC couple shared photos of each other on social media. They were also seen together in the Embedded videos of the promotion. When they both were dating each other, they continuously cheered each other during the UFC fights.

When Ortega locked horns against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 266 on September 25, 2021, Cortez stood in his corner to motivate him to fight better. The netizens speculated on their marriage to take place soon, as Cortez had a diamond ring on her finger. However, now it is transparent that the couple is having a bad time post-breakup.

Tracy Cortez reacts to Brian Ortega’s claim

Recently, Ortega took to his Twitter handle to come clean regarding his breakup with the UFC flyweight. According to him, he simply removed himself from the relationship. ‘T-City’ said, “Everyone out here talking bout I fumbled. Y’all must not know the rules of the game. When you drop the ball on accident that’s a fumble, but when you throw it away on purpose. That’s called a complete pass. Top G sh*t!”

She tweeted, “Let me just say that to this day, I’ve yet to say anything negative about you or bash your name! Don’t start throwing shade now. I’m blessed #MoveWithLove” Cortez made it clear that she has no intention of going for a catfight through social media; instead, she wants to deal with their breakup in a better way. Recently, UFC middleweight star, Paulo Costa, shared an image on social media with Ortega’s ex-girlfriend. This has sparked dating rumors between the two UFC fighters.

The UFC couple parted ways

The UFC fans felt that the couple were living their best life together as they went for UFC outings and seemed happy. They also believed that their relationship was way too serious when ‘T-City’ tattooed Tracy Cortez’s name on his lower lip on Valentine’s Day. Nonetheless, things began to take a different turn at the beginning of 2023.
