UFC 276 is just hours away. The middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, is ready to defend his title again. This time against the top contender, Jared Cannonier. However, a few fans are concerned after the champion face-timed music sensation, Drake.

‘The Drake Curse’ is a running joke among the UFC fighters and fans. The joke originated after fans began noticing that fighters started losing fights after posting pictures with the Canadian rapper or after getting acquainted with him.
The Drake Curse is a joke among other sports, too. Hence, when fans saw a video of Israel Adesanya speaking to the musician, they had a variety of reactions.

A fan commented, “This is never a good sign..”. Another fan wrote, “Drake curse”.
Another social media user wrote, “Looks like I’m betting on Jared now”.
“Never have drake on your side,” wrote another person.
“Dang I had izzy winning, but I guess Jared gonna KO him now,” commented a concerned fan.

Another person wrote, “Drake take that bet off, you are going to ruin his legacy.”
Meanwhile, Drake stated he bet a ‘light milli’ on Adesanya’s fight. This has left fans concerned.
Additionally, Drake was also interested in walking out the fighter as he has never done so before.

A fan wrote, “I’m putting my son and the house on jared now”.
“If Izzy loses drake is not allowed to bet on anything anymore.”
Will Israel Adesanya get affected by ‘The Drake Curse’?
The rapper put his money on Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272. However, Colby Covington ended up winning the bout.
Similarly, Drake had anticipated Justin Gaethje to win against Charles Oliveira at UFC 274. Hence, he up a huge amount on the line. Oliveira, however, successfully submitted Gaethje.
Hence, it would be interesting to see how Adesanya versus Cannonier turns out. After all, ‘The Last Stylebender’ remains undefeated in the middleweight division. His only professional MMA loss has been against Jan Blachowicz at the light heavyweight division.
