“Drop the Liver King B*llsh*t Before It Kills You” – Mark Coleman Claims Doctors ‘Wouldn’t Let Him Go From Hospital’ Causing Fans to Caution UFC Legend

Former UFC heavyweight champion Mark Coleman recently took his Instagram to give an update regarding his health condition. Coleman recorded himself from the hospital while waiting for his surgery to take place. Thanks to fitness influencer Liver King, he has been very vocal about following an all-carnivore diet and the nine ancestral tenets. 

However, looking at his current condition, the fans took to Instagram to share a piece of advice for the former champion. Coleman is known to take extreme measures when it comes to eating, and considering he is a 58-year-old, fans showed a bit of concern.

Mark Coleman was all set to return to combat sport after he was scheduled to face boxer Montell Griffin in October 2023. As a result, he has taken inspiration from fitness influencer, Liver King and followed the much-debated carnivore diet to get back in shape. 58-year-Coleman has suffered a lot of health issues in recent times, and this time around, he has received some stern warnings from the fans for using such extreme measures. 

‘The Hammer’ recorded himself from the hospital via Instagram, gave the fans details about his condition, and even mentioned, “They wouldn’t let me go home.” However, the concern was when he said he was in a 30-hour fast before the surgery. Let us take a look at some comments from the fans below.

Coleman previously also sustained a severe injury and used his social media platform to update the fans. Last time around, he got admitted because of having a hematoma and an infection. The former champion also suffered a heart attack in 2020 and has been suffering a lot lately. However, “The Hammer” was once a force to reckon with inside the Octagon.

Looking back at the legacy of Mark Coleman in the UFC 

Mark Coleman is undoubtedly one of the most dominant heavyweight fighters ever to grace the Octagon. His most prominent achievement involves winning the inaugural UFC heavyweight title, which took place in February 1997. The heavyweight division was one of the first additions to the roster, and later on, the Super Fight Championship and the Tournament Championship were consolidated. This helped to find the contender for the first-ever UFC heavyweight title.

Mark Coleman and Dan Severn got the opportunity to fight for the belt at UFC 12: Judgement Day in February 1997. Coleman won the fight and held the title for 170 days before losing it to Maurice Smith at UFC 14. His last fight came against Randy Couture, thus ending a career with a record of 16-10. The former champion is struggling with health issues, and hopefully, he can come out with some good news for the fans.
