Ever since Francis Ngannou left the UFC, the fans have been eagerly waiting to know about his next move. Finally, there is clarity on that. Putting an end to all rumors, on May 16, it was confirmed that ‘The Predator’ joined the UFC’s rival MMA promotion, PFL. But the real question is, are the fans happy about it?

There is a mixed range of reactions from the MMA community. Some are excited to know that “The Predator’ is back, while others are not happy with the fact that he chose PFL.

The Cameroonian-French fighter left the UFC after several failed negotiations with UFC president Dana White. Ngannou put forward a few conditions, which include increased pay, health insurance for fighters, and permission to take contracts outside the UFC. The promotion was not ready to agree with most of his demands. This ended up with Ngannou leaving the promotion. His decision disappointed UFC fans all around the world, as they were eagerly waiting for a bout between him and the current heavyweight champion, Jon Jones. Now ‘The Predator’ has ended his free agency and taken the next step of his fighting career, which again disappointed some.

Fans lash out at Francis Ngannou for choosing PFL

On May 16, the Professional Fighters League took to their official Instagram handle to confirm that Ngannou had joined the PFL. They posted a video of the former UFC star and wrote: “THE PREDATOR IS HERE! Welcome to Professional Fighters League.

Ngannou’s decision to join PFL has elevated the status of the promotion. Nonetheless, the announcement sent shockwaves among the fans. Some of them strongly believed that he would turn to boxing and fight against the greatest boxers of all time.

“think francis realized at this point that the pfl was the last option to save his career I mean the pfl is good but it’s sad that he wasted all his other offers because he not gonna be able to do the pay per view numbers like he used to now.”

From the reactions of the fans, it was clear that they were highly disappointed to learn the new announcement of Ngannou joining the PFL.
