Themba Gorimbo has taken the UFC by storm. With his recent win over Takashi Sato, Gorimbo proved himself an entertaining fighter. However, after ‘The Rock’ helped him out with a grand gesture, Gorimbo became even more famous. His story helped inspire many and now, he’s coming for more.

Gorimbo didn’t have much when Dwayne Johnson decided to step in. He had just sold his fight kit to raise money for his village back in Zimbabwe and found support from UFC stars and the Hollywood star alike. Now, he turns his attention back to the UFC with a great promise. Here’s what he said.

Themba Gorimbo vows to win a belt

Themba Gorimbo was living on his gym’s couch around the time he picked up his first UFC win. He quickly gained a lot of attention after Dwayne Johnson gifted him his first house in the U.S. After that, fighters like Marlon Vera and most recently, Dustin Poirier too helped the fighter out by providing aid to his village.

In return, Gorimbo intensified his efforts to improve his skill set in the Octagon. He looks hyped and ready to take on his next opponent, Kiefer Crosbie, at UFC Vegas on the 3rd of February. Becoming a champion is a long road, but he’s willing to fight as much as possible. The UFC star outlined his ambitions for next year and said, ” I am excited. 2024 i am going to be a world champion. I am happy. I am inspiring. I am loved . I am grateful. I am different.”

He also promised to fight at least three times a year to keep his career in the best form possible. Do you look forward to seeing him fight? The fighter has already proven that he has a heart made out of gold. It’s no wonder other fighters were attracted to his cause.

Earlier this year, Marlon Vera was moved by Johnson’s efforts for Gorimbo. And to help his Zimbabwe village out, he donated a borehole for the community. Soon, videos of his community members celebrating started pouring online. Such a wholesome moment was soon to be recreated by ‘The Diamond’.

Dustin Poirier donates to Gorimbo’s cause

Recently, Gorimbo decided to help out his community members by fixing their cataract issues. For this, Poirier donated an amount of $10,000 to the cause. Gorimbo would soon take to his socials to thank Poirier and announce that his cause would soon begin with the mission.

He noted how seeing his 92-year-old uncle with vision difficulties inspired him to start the initiative in his village. Now that he’s helped with the water issues in his community, it’s time for him to help his people with their vision. Soon, he’ll be fighting Crosbie in the cage. Are you rooting for the fighter?
