Conor McGregor has been out of action since his last fight against Dustin Poirier, which saw the Irishman break his foot at the end of the first round. Ever since then, ‘The Notorious’ has been itching to come back inside the octagon.

The Irish superstar has been posting a lot of workout videos and pad-work, which shows him in a massive frame.

Recently, UFC ringside physician Dr. David Abbasi spotted McGregor’s hand looking bigger than usual and analyzed it through an Orthopedic Surgeon’s brain.

“So, Conor’s hands look SWOLLEN! Excess Alcohol intake causes body to retain water in hands and feet to combat body’s dehydration! You guys think he returns at 155 or 170,” wrote Dr. Abbasi on his Twitter.

Dr. Abbasi has done similar kinds of analysis on his Twitter from time to time. Earlier, he had pointed out the surgical scar on Conor McGregor’s broken leg.

Recently, Conor McGregor sat down with The Mac Life’s Oscar Wills on Pub Talk #8, where ‘The Notorious‘ was reluctant to consume any liquor because of his training routine.

However, he said he would get his hands on his Proper No. 12 Irish Whiskey the next day. Also, interesting to note that, ‘The Notorious’ hinted at a welterweight return instead of lightweight.

Though the Irish superstar didn’t mention that making 155 lbs was tough for him, he was happy with the way he performed at 170 lbs against Nate Diaz and Donald Cerrone.

Conor McGregor wants to create history

It does not satisfy the former UFC tw0-division champion to have only two belts on his resume. Hence, ‘Mystic Mac’ wants to challenge the UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, to get the third belt. ‘The Notorious’ wants to set the bar so high that no other athlete could surpass them.

McGregor already has the record for three knockouts in three separate divisions, which is never done by any athlete moving up inside the UFC Octagon. Thus, it would be interesting to see if the UFC President Dana White entertains the idea of McGregor fighting for the welterweight championship.
