Lopez had an extended interview with MMA junkie recently. While speaking with Farah Hannoun, the 44-year-old had a lot to discuss regarding the former interim UFC heavyweight champion. Having Gane’s training regime as an agenda item, Lopez highlighted what their steps were to improve the progress of the Frenchman. He revealed that the best wrestling coaches were available in the training camp to enhance the grappling techniques of ‘Bon Gamin’.
Being confident about the results, the Cameroonian further said, “And this is got taking care of Ciryl. And yeah, we did improve everything on that and what we did was that you can witness because you was calling me a lot for the interview.”
It is not a hidden fact that Gane’s defeat in UFC 285 still haunts him. However, his coach seemed to back him even then. But this time around, the MMA Factory head coach has various strategies that could aid the heavyweight bigwig in the future. Well, so many strategies and ideas got discussed, keeping in mind that quick defeat that became a shock for Gane. So much so that he still recalled that scenario recently.

Ciryl Gane expressed his sorrow over his defeat against Jon Jones recently. He revealed how dismaying the outcome was back then at UFC 285. Being aghast, he said, “I was really happy to be here to fight, uh, and boom!” Preeminence. He thought for a while and continued, “It was a bad moment, it was a really bad moment. At this moment when he did it, I remember I stayed in the cage like, oh! It’s a nightmare, no it is not the reality.”
