Bearing a resemblance to Conor McGregor in the fighting world is a compliment on many levels. Known for his physical and verbal prowess, McGregor takes center stage in almost all endeavors he engages in. Michael Chandler, in a recent Twitter update, gave the ‘Notorious’ some competition. Interestingly, however, this wasn’t a good look. In the now-deleted tweet, what Chandler had accidentally challenged was the Irishman’s affinity for leaking information.

Chandler’s social media slip-up was no small blunder. The seasoned UFC fighter let a big cat out of the bag this time by revealing the finalists for TUF 31. As the show built up anticipation over a period of months, ‘Iron’ Michael might be displeased with his accident. Chandler has since deleted the tweet.

In the tweet, Chandler said, “Headed to Boston this weekend to watch my #tuf31 boys scrap. Kurt vs Austin will be tough to watch. But both will get contracts, I’m predicting. But ready to watch Cody get a dominant dub! #ufc292”.

The tweet recognized the finalists as Kurt Holobaugh and Austin Hubbard. The duo were teammates on Team Chandler and will probably go against each other for the live finale. Holobaugh was formerly in the Featherweight division of the UFC, while Austin ‘Thud’ Hubbard had his stint in the UFC’s Lightweight division.

The tweet also highlighted another anticipated match. As McGregor’s only surviving hopeful, Rico DiSciullo hopes to secure a spot in the Bantamweight finals. He will have a formidable challenge against Team Chandler’s Cody Gibson. Chandler placed his faith in the ‘Renegade’ to secure what he claims would be a “dominant dub.” The fight will put the victor in a position to face off against ‘Superman’ Brad Katona.

The tweet may have spoiled months of waiting for some fans. Others might appreciate the sneak peek into the finals. Irrespective of the implications this will have for TUF 31, the now-deleted tweet unequivocally promises viewers an incredible event, and two potential contract winners, according to Michael Chandler.
