UFC legend Anderson Silva is absolutely in love with the dedication of Charles Oliveira. Both Silva and Oliveira are two Brazilian UFC fighters who have made their country proud. ‘The Spider’ rose to fame when he knocked out Vitor Belfort while he was reigning as the UFC middleweight kingpin. Silva was able to knockout Belfort in the very first round at UFC 126. His brilliant move impressed the fans of his homeland like never before. The knockout victory cemented his position among the top athletes in the country.

Now, Silva is proud of Oliveira, another Brazilian UFC fighter who is keeping on making his people proud with sheer determination and willpower. ‘Do Bronx’ recently had a glorious victory against Beneil Dariush at UFC 289. Oliveira put forth a spectacular knockout victory in the very first round. The MMA fans cheered for his brilliant performance soon after the bout. Oliveira was able to attract a lot of fans after the impressive victory. Weeks after the victory, UFC legend Anderson Silva shared his thoughts about Oliveira.

Anderson Silva was talking with MMA Fighting’s Trocacao Franca. During the conversation, he detailed his love for ‘Do Bronx.’ Silva mentioned that it is great to watch the former UFC lightweight champion work hard. He appreciated Oliveira’s confidence and persistence. According to Silva, one of Oliveira’s biggest advantages is that he has great coaches like Jorge Patino to train him. Silva further claimed that he is a staunch supporter of Oliveira.

In the latter part of the conversation, ‘The Spider’ added, “He deserves all the best. He’s a good kid. Nobody believed in him, even the UFC didn’t believe in him, and he’s showing why he’s up there. He’s captivated the crowd in a way that no one expected. He deserves our respect, and Brazil has to applaud him because Charles deserves all the best. He’s our champion and we have to support him so he goes there and represents Brazil the best way possible.”From Silva’s words, it is clear that he absolutely loves Oliveira for the fighter and person he is.

What’s next for Oliveira?

Oliveira clashed against Islam Makhachev at UFC 280. This bout disappointed all the Oliveira fans, as he surprisingly failed to outdo the Russian fighter. ‘Do Bronx’ tapped out in the second round as he was unable to escape the arm triangle choke from Makhachev. When Oliveira tapped out of the bout, some lost all faith in him.
