Joe Rogan is a household name in the world of UFC. The seasoned comedian is one of the few employees of the promotion to be in an over-a-decade-long tenure. His unmatched popularity has also made his podcast one of the most viewed ones. ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ has claimed the apex spot on Spotify’s ‘Top Podcasts’ list multiple times. Some of the most famous faces of the modern era have also joined ‘JRE’, including the Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, and Twitter CEO, Elon Musk.

Recently, on one such episode of ‘JRE’, Rogan and his guest, Brian Redban, drifted off from reality to discuss some futuristic issues. Redban is a comedian and a long-time friend of Rogan. He is also the former producer of ‘JRE’. The duo talked about a volley of other issues as well, apart from how AI will play a role in human lives in the future.

Joe Rogan was confident about every family having their own Scarlett Johansson

The former martial artist appreciated the swiftness of modern data processing systems, which allowed real-time outputs. Redban added that there are some industries making robots with such fast data processing speeds. He also added that the Twitter CEO, Elon Musk was also on such a project.

Redban said, “He makes robots with that. Realistic robots. The robot that Elon’s making, he put like fake skin on him, and in real-time, that could be a robot Joe Rogan. Voicewise, lookwise”.

Later, Rogan drew the reference to a Hong Kong product and graphic designer and stated, “That’s coming for sure. For sure, everyone gonna have Scarlett Johansson in their house”. The Hong Kong product and graphic designer, Ricky Ma, created a robot lookalike of the Black Widow actress, Scarlett Johansson.

An AI-powered Morgan Freeman took Rogan aback

Rogan and Redban also watched a video that featured the noted actor, Morgan Freeman, giving a speech. But the Freeman displayed on the screen was not the flesh-blood human we know. Instead, it was an AI-powered dummy who spoke the exact words that we were being spoken by his creator.

The video startled the former Fear factor host. He described, “O my God! This is incredible. So this guy is this bald dude, is this white guy on the bottom. And there’s a Morgan Freeman that’s artificially generated above him who’s saying the words that he’s saying in Morgan Freeman’s voice.”

Rogan also appreciated the video stating, “And it looks flawless”. Redban reminded the JRE host that the whole thing was happening in real-time.

The 55-year-old emphasized how such awesome processing speed can be used to create even better AI-powered videos. He stated, they’ll be able to not just do a person’s face with a black background but like a complex imagery in the background. Like that person could be on the moon”.

We may agree that AI is getting increasingly important for us in our daily lives. So, would you agree with Rogan on this?

The coveted scrap between Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson in 2002 was when I realized the passion for combat sports within my family. My interest in combat sports began watching scripted pro wrestling shows. It was my father who directed me towards combat sports and it wasn’t until the late 2010s that I discovered the world of MMA and the UFC. Like many of you, I too, tuned in for the infamous Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor bout live on October 6, 2018. Being an ardent fan of the UFC (and Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier), I was always looking to have conversations about the same with others. But to my disappointment, I hardly found any followers of the sports to interact with. So I took it upon myself to do my part in popularizing the thrill and the agony behind the purest form of unarmed combat. At EssentiallySports, I try to bring the readers closer to the athletes and focus my coverage on exploring the human side of these martial artists. I’m a musician during my time free from reporting MMA. I operate as the lead vocalist of a rock band that aims to make their mark among the audiences with their original alternative-hard rock songs.
