Meeting your childhood hero for the first time is an entirely novel sensation—a tingling shiver runs down your spine. That’s exactly what Joe Rogan must have felt when he welcomed legendary Hollywood actor Bill Murray to his podcast. The Ghostbusters star appeared as a guest on episode #2282 of The Joe Rogan Experience, and the usually composed podcaster couldn’t help but quiver like an excited child in front of his idol.

However, Murray delivered a rather humbling statement to the multi-million-dollar podcaster.

The color commentator was excited as he welcomed his idol to his show. Starting his podcast with a ‘Thank You’ note, Rogan said, “This is a huge honor for me— A giant fan, forever and ever, like since I was a kid. There are certain people I meet where it’s like, “Whoa, okay,” and you’re one of those.”

As Rogan dropped these words, Bill Murray humbled the podcaster by highlighting that he didn’t know anything about the podcaster except for the fact that he was into fitness.

“Well I have a very different experience. I only know about, what I’ve heard, I’ve never heard your show. I had to ask you, ‘are you Joe?’ because I somehow knew you were like in the fitness and everyone out there seems to be a weight lifter. Even Daniele seems like she did lower body today. But it’s nice to meet you, and some people are very very excited that I’ve come down here to be on your show. Rogan admits, “You’re an interesting guy” while Murray interjected, “Other people are concerned for me,” said Bill Murray.

Murray’s words ring true, considering the actor rarely engages in one-on-one conversations with anyone. This might just be one of the most legendary guests that has appeared on ‘JRE’ considering the fact that the man doesn’t even do interviews—let alone a marathon: a two-and-a-half-hour sit-down. Well, interestingly, this is the second time in a week that Joe Rogan was on the receiving end of a humbling experience.

Oscar De La Hoya dragged Joe Rogan to the pits after Terrance Crawford’s comment

While having a conversation with Hollywood Director and Producer, Peter Berg, Joe Rogan commented on the feud between Terrance Crawford and Oscar De La Hoya. Supporting Crawford, Rogan highlighted that ‘The Golden Boy; is exaggerating his rivalry with the American boxer. Rogan’s words found its way to De La Hoya as the former six-time world champion clapped back at the podcaster in his recent montage, “So, Joe Rogan dropped another episode of his podcast yesterday with guest Peter Berg, who is a big-time Hollywood director and producer. Did you two f—— ask who I’m commenting on? Terence Crawford.”

He further added, “It must be in your contract to keep hating on me and not have any nice words about me. I mean, Peter complimented me on my career and some other things, and you bring up those things and fake abs. Have me and your daddy Dana on your podcast together. You can moderate it so it will be two against one.”

As of writing, Joe Rogan has yet to make a statement about Oscar De La Hoya’s proposition but one thing is certain. UFC CEO Dana White might not be keen on the proposition. Given that, what are your thoughts on back-to-back humbling experiences for Joe Rogan? State your opinion in the comments below.
