Ronda Rousey ruled the UFC world for a long time. She defended her belt 6 times in a span of 3 years and made short work of any kind of challenge that came her way. Early in 2015, Ronda Rousey faced Cat Zingano. The fight became memorable for both fighters as Ronda Rousey took only 14 seconds to finish Zingano. She got her in an armbar and rained punches that left her delirious. Zingano was seen grabbing the referee’s leg way after the fight had finished. The fight left Zingano shocked who was later seen asking the UFC president about what she could do to get a shot at the championship again.

In an interview with D-Von Dudley, Ronda Rousey revealed what transpired during those 14 seconds in the octagon with Cat Zingano at UFC 184. Ronda Rousey was on a hot streak of victories and Zingano couldn’t do much to change that. Infact, ‘rowdy’ had set a rare record in the UFC, which no other fighter has been able to break.

She added, “I sidestepped the knee all up. She still had locks me all her Momentum just picked me for it. And she 100% were taking me down as it wasn’t for judo in the scoring system. In judo my immediate instinct was don’t touch her back to the ground. Then I do a bucking from backwards, cartwheel off my head to land on my stomach. Then we end up tangled up on the ground and I had to make up an armbar that no one had ever done before. I’ve ever seen in that moment an armbar for that position there’s nothing that she could have studied or would have seen before even could have learned from anybody else.”
