Some of the biggest celebrities have gone through online death hoaxes. Such fake news can be shocking for some fans. Something similar has happened to popular Spotify podcaster Joe Rogan as well. According to several reports, Rogan’s death had been trending after false information was shared on Twitter.

The hoaxes that were shared on social media contained false statements from UFC President Dana White. Other false statements that claimed to be from his family were also shared.

As per ‘Newsweek‘, many started sharing tweets containing fake screenshots of a tweet purporting to be from the UFC’s official account. Thus, this created a lot of confusion among other Twitter users.

However, this is not the first time that Rogan has been subjected to a death hoax. It has happened before too. In fact, it has happened so frequently that ‘Know Your Meme‘ lists #RIPJoeRogan as a meme.

As per the website, the first hoax was in 2010 and since then, similar posts have been appearing online. So such posts have been appearing on Twitter now and then.

Hence, it seems to have become a joke among his Twitter fanbase and people have not been taking them seriously.

As known by fans, Rogan has a highly successful podcast, a career as a comedian as well as his UFC gigs. His podcast has been in news for a while. This is mainly because of controversies surrounding subjects he has discussed on his podcast. However, he recently made a bold claim of quitting Spotify if he has to ‘walk on eggshells’.

The commentator is expected to be present at UFC 273. The event takes place on April 9 in Jacksonville, Florida. Rogan, Jon Anik, and Paul Felder will be commentating on fights.
