Conor McGregor and his team celebrated their first win in the most recent episode of ‘The Ultimate Fighter 31’. He shared a post on social media and congratulated his teammate Rico DiSciullo after he defeated Team Chandler’s Hunter Azure with a remarkable KO finish. His former TUF 22 opposition coach, Urijah Faber, took a jibe at ‘The Notorious, while fans shared their reactions to the post.

Just when everybody counted out Team McGregor from winning even a single match this season, Rico DiSciullo came to the rescue. He registered a tremendous double hammer fist finish to move on to the semifinals. Besides, DiSciullo is the only fighter from McGregor’s team to have won a fight this season.

The final quarterfinal fight showcased a great fight, with both DiSciullo and Azure starting equally exchanging blows. However, in the second round, Conor McGregor’s teammate caught Azure with a strike that sent him down to the mat. DiSciullo finished him off with a Marvel Superhero Hulk’s signature ‘Hulk Smash’ kind of hammer fist to seal the win for his team. ‘The Notorious’ was glad that he didn’t get clean-swept by Michael Chandler. He celebrated the win by running around the Octagon and was clearly happy to have registered a win this season. Meanwhile, the Irishman’s former TUF opposition coach, Urijah Faber, took a jibe at the former double champion following the win.

McGregor’s former TUF opposition coach Urijah Faber took aim at him in his congratulatory post to Rico DiSciullo. Faber commented, “Now that’s [the] a celebration.” The Hall of Famer appeared to love the way ‘The Notorious’ celebrated.

Moreover, he took aim at his former TUF opposition, claiming that he is yet to watch all the previous fights so far. It was clearly a fig at the fact that McGregor had lost all the other fights. Faber added, Is that the only fight that’s happened this season? I haven’t watched yet.” However, fans had some good things to say. Here are some reactions from fans on Instagram.

The fans were smitten by the hammer fist KO and claimed that it was the best finish so far in the show. Moreover, they recalled how McGregor let his teammate ride his Lamborghini and believe that he deserved that. Moreover, the fans also loved how the Irishman celebrated after the win since it was his team’s first win. They all agree that the fight between DiSciullo and Azure was the best of the season so far.

Conor McGregor will now stay in the show for a while with Rico Disciullo still in the competition. However, Michael Chandler has the advantage with seven fighters in the semifinals. We will have to wait and see if the Irishman’s lone survivor goes all the way to win ‘The Ultimate Fighter 31.’
