Dana White and Co. have found themselves in a pretty messy situation after UFC Vegas 110. Isaac Dulgarian‘s miserable showing against Yadier del Valle revealed all sorts of illicit activities going on behind closed doors. With reports about the FBI actively investigating the situation making rounds in the MMA community, another fighter who was suspended due to a gambling controversy has weighed in on the current situation.

Earlier this year, former UFC fighters Jeff Molina and Darrick Minner received multi-year suspensions, retroactive from November 5, 2022. They were deemed guilty of their involvement with James Krause and the betting scandal. Molina’s suspension period ended this month, and he shared some insights about Isaac Dulgarian and his connections to the recently released UFC featherweight.

Former UFC fighter claims he has nothing to do with Isaac Dulgarian
MMA journalist Harry Mac, who was at the forefront of uncovering the UFC Vegas 110 foul play, shared an update on the recent betting scandal on X. He claimed to have received a nod from a coach about Jeff Molina’s involvement in last weekend’s Fight Night event incident. That coach’s identity remains unknown, but he claimed that Molina “orchestrated this entire scheme by himself.” Instead of speculating, Mac decided to hear it from ‘El Jefe’ himself.
Molina claims to have no connections with Isaac Dulgarian, nor has he engaged in any illicit activity. Moreover, the former UFC fighter touched upon the current status of James Krause as well, and as far as that’s concerned, Krause, according to Jeff Molina, “doesn’t know how to spell the word gamble anymore.” Meanwhile, the former UFC fighter also maintained his innocence in the 2022 scandal, while revealing that he has no idea about the current status of its investigation.
Molina states the last he heard from investigators was that DAG Joel Bekker was no longer assigned to his case. He’s unsure of the status of the investigation.

Jeff Molina was suspended because the commission deemed that he had knowledge about Darrick Minner fighting Shayilan Nuerdanbieke in 2022 with an injury. Despite that, he still placed a wager on the injured fighter, which called for a punishment. After the retroactive suspension was slapped on Molina, he opened up on the situation, calling out Conor McGregor as well.

Molina points out a ‘double standard’ with Conor McGregor
While posting a series of tweets in March, Jeff Molina revealed that his punishment for wagering $350 was pretty harsh. Arguing his innocence, the former UFC fighter claimed that he wagered not only on Darrick Minner’s fight but on the whole card. That’s a means for him to make money when he’s not fighting. In fact, Molina mentioned Conor McGregor‘s habit of publicly declaring his million-dollar wagers on social media but not getting reprimanded for it.
“McGregor can post his million-dollar bet slip every month on a main event as a fighter on the roster, and no one blinks an eye. Def a double standard there,” the former UFC fighter wrote. “What I completely disagree with is saying I deserve a ‘lifetime ban’ for my $350 wagers I had on the entire card. I made a mistake by continuing to wager, no doubt, and a 3-year suspension is beyond suffice, but acting like 23-year-old me was this fight fixing mastermind making millions of dollars is comical.”
