The world of combat sports has often observed turmoil where the fan-favorite fighters are found guilty of criminal offenses. A month ago, the UFC flyweight contender, Jeff Molina was suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for his involvement in an illegal betting scandal. Surprisingly, this happened right after the head coach, James Krause, and Darrick Minner were suspended by NSAC for the betting scandal. Recently, Nolan King took to Twitter to reveal that the flyweight fighter was officially suspended for his substantial association with the coach and former fighter. Undeniably, the fans overtook the comments section and expressed their thoughts on the suspension. Nonetheless, the fans indeed believed that there is much more to what actually meets the eye.

Molina was suspended back on 15th  2022. Unquestionably, the fighter will stay suspended till the investigation comes to a conclusion. However, the conclusion seems to be really far away ahead.

Fans react to Jeff Molina’s suspension

King took to Twitter and wrote about the newest revelations in the Molina case. Previously, it was classified as an unknown category of suspension. Furthermore, King revealed that he was suspended due to his involvement in ‘gaming scheme’. He wrote, “UFC flyweight Jeff Molina has been officially suspended  by the NSAC for what it says is “substantial” involvement in the “gaming scheme” related to the James Krause investigation. Without a second thought, the MMA fans took over the comments section and gave their opinion. Although many of the people stood in defense of the flyweight fighter, many of them found the punishment necessary. Moreover, some of the fans declared that Molina actually had it coming and should have expected the same.

Brendan Schaub opines on the scandal

The former UFC contender touched on the scandalous topic, as well. He revealed that there were reports of some suspicious bets made in a fight involving Krause’s disciple. However, Schaub revealed he had some friends who were close to the allegations. He said, “I have some friends who are close to this and they said we’re just getting the tip of the iceberg. It goes deep.”

Furthermore, the former fighter also talked about Molina’s suspension. Schaub, in fact, declared the flyweight contender a ‘savage’ and undefeated fighter. However, the turn of events seemed to be against him. “But the story’s gonna keep coming out. It gets deep”, he finally said. However, it doesn’t change the fact that the UFC world was put in turmoil due to the incident.
