A video has gone viral on social media. It features two men allegedly fighting at a European pub, and a few seconds in, one of them ends up getting knocked out. A clip like that wouldn’t garner much attention otherwise, but when several claims cropped up that it was former UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz who got KO’d, the 11-second video started creating a lot of buzz.

What’s more, the man in the clip resembled the 42-year-old fighter because of his hair and beard. Could it really have been Blachowicz? Here is all you need to know:
- Well, there are no reports that suggest that it was Blachowicz in that video. It seems to be a social media rumor.
- The video is blurry, and Blachowicz’s face was not clearly visible in it.
- A closer look at the video suggests the claim is likely untrue. The man in the video appeared to be younger, slimmer, and with definitely less fighting experience and physical presence than a UFC light heavyweight like Jan Blachowicz.

Blachowicz, ranked #5, is 42-year-old remains active in the UFC. He is busy training for his upcoming fight against Bogdan Guskov, ranked #11, on November 22, 2025, at UFC Fight Night in Qatar. So, it is unlikely he would get knocked out by an amateur.
If anything, he is known for his ‘Polish Power’. And with its help, he amassed a 29-11-1 MMA record, nine wins via KO/TKO. He has T/KO wins over fighters like Aleksandar Rakic, Dominick Reyes, Corey Anderson and Luke Rockhold. However, his form has suffered lately after consecutive losses to Alex Pereira and Carlos Ulberg and a string of injuries.

He had to undergo surgery to fix both his shoulders earlier this year, and the process of rehabilitation was not easy either. He was under immense pain for three months after surgery. While he is clearly in the twilight phase of his MMA career, a win over Guskov will once again bring him all the limelight he seeks.

But Blachowicz also needs to be careful because Guskov is just as good at knocking out his opponents. He has KO’d the likes of Zac Pauga, Ryan Spann, and even took out Nikita Krylov in the first round in July. He also submitted Billy Elekana to prove why he belongs among the top fighters of the light heavyweight division.
