Last weekend, UFC Vegas 111 definitely had the majority of the fans’ attention. However, just a day later, Brave CF began gaining major traction from the MMA audience as well. The reason? At BRAVE CF 101, a Khamzat Chimaev lookalike scored a stunning 32-second knockout over his opponent, instantly sparking intrigue among fans. They wanted to know more about this rising phenom who bore an uncanny resemblance to ‘Borz’.

At first, many assumed it was simply another case of a fighter resembling a more well-known champion. But things took a wild turn when the BRAVE CF athlete was linked to the current UFC middleweight champion as his brother, going by the name Glenn Chimaev. This shocking claim quickly spread across social media, leaving people genuinely confused, who were asking: Did Khamzat Chimaev actually have a brother competing in MMA? Well, to clear that uncertainty, we have fact-checked that claim, and here’s everything you need to know.

BRAVE CF fighter Glenn Chimaev is not Khamzat Chimaev’s brother
Although the BRAVE CF fighter does look very similar to Khamzat Chimaev, he’s actually not ‘Borz’s brother, nor is he related to him in any way. Also, his actual name is Murad Guseinov, not Glenn Chimaev. Because of his striking facial similarity and similar fighting style, fans on social media began connecting him to the UFC middleweight champion. That’s how the rumor of him being Chimaev’s brother spread like wildfire, fueled partly by the promotion itself.
BRAVE CF’s official account posted Guseinov’s 32-second knockout highlight on X, writing, “Not just a Chimaev lookalike! Murad Guseynov gets the job done with an EXPLOSIVE KO!🤯” The clip was then reposted by sports broadcaster Ben Davis on the same platform, where he referred to him as ‘Glenn Chimaev’ and claimed he was Khamzat’s brother, something that isn’t true.
Davis wrote on X, “Khamzat Chimaev’s brother, Glenn Chimaev, just got another KO today 💣 He is now 7-0 and should be on DWCS next year.

As we learned that Guseinov being linked to Khamzat was simply a deliberate meme attempt, some might still be surprised to know there actually is a connection, just not a direct one. The 27-year-old Bahraini fighter is a teammate of UFC middleweight Ikram Aliskerov, who previously fought ‘Borz’ back in 2019 when both were competing under BRAVE CF.

So, when Aliskerov noticed his teammate’s knockout going viral for being associated with his former opponent, he decided to repost the highlight. Aliskerov wrote on X, “He is 10-0 now ☝🏻 my teammate and sparring partner Murad Guseinov”
As the Russian UFC fighter mentioned, that’s certainly an impressive record for his teammate, one that could very well catch Dana White’s attention if more viral highlights continue circulating on social media. However, before Guseinov’s chances of eventually entering the UFC become more realistic in the future, let’s take a look at his past and examine his record.

Murad Guseinov’s amazing undefeated record
Along with his face, fighting style, and the mutual fighter who knows them, Murad Guseinov shares another key similarity with Khamzat Chimaev, which is his undefeated record. The Bahraini fighter has competed across several promotions in the Asia-Pacific region. He first stepped into the Belarusian Fight Championship, where he went 3-0 before signing with BRAVE CF.
Continuing his dominant run, Guseinov faced fighters like Gabriel Bula and Ali Hussein Nedal in his recent outings, who had more experience than him. Still, the Khamzat Chimaev doppelgänger managed to beat them and currently holds an unbeaten record. Still, that is not the only impressive detail in his record.
Every one of Guseinov’s wins has come by finish, including four knockouts and five submissions. To make his profile even more interesting, he also trains at KHK MMA Team, the same gym where Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov began their careers.

With that kind of background, Guseinov is genuinely not far from earning a shot on Dana White’s Contender Series and securing a path to the UFC. Now, only time will tell when he decides to make that jump and whether he can manage to stay undefeated once he does.
That said, do you think Murad Guseinov’s viral highlight and the comparisons to Khamzat Chimaev will help him reach a wider audience and eventually land in the UFC? Let us know in the comments section below.
