The UFC 303 hype train is rolling full steam ahead. With fight night just a day away, things got spicy at yesterday’s pre-fight press conference. Ranked #7 in the welterweight division, Ian Garry dropped a major bomb on Michael Page, accusing him of bribing someone at his training camp in Brazil. If this turns out to be true, Page could be suspended from the UFC. However, the allegations of bribery failed to materialize. Adding another layer to the story, a viral video on the internet revealed that current UFC Light Heavyweight champion Alex Pereira made a surprisingly kind offer to Page, leaving him feeling very grateful.

UFC 303’s pre-fight press conference wasn’t just heated exchanges. There were some lighter moments too, like Ian Garry’s son chatting with Michael Page. But behind the scenes, another interesting situation unfolded. While backstage, Alex Pereira and his teammate Melvin bumped into Michael Page.
When Page asked Melvin where they were staying, Melvin simply replied, “We’re in Connecticut.” Michael Page then mentioned crashing at his cameraman’s place until the event. That’s when things got interesting. Pereira, speaking in Portuguese, relayed a message through Melvin to Michael Page which said, “Or we take care of you, bro. Like you come out, we take care of you, bro.”

Despite accepting Alex Pereira’s offer with a handshake and hug, the bribery allegations leveled by Ian Garry earlier at the press conference still weigh heavily on Page. Let’s dive into what exactly went down at the event.

What are Ian Garry’s allegations against Michael Page?
The UFC press conference is incomplete without allegations and trash-talking, as we have observed in the past. Continuing this culture to intensify fights, at last night’s UFC 303 pre-fight conference, Ian Garry accused Michael Page of offering thousands of dollars to obtain information about Garry’s training.
At the UFC 303 presser, things got fiery between welterweight contenders. Irishman Ian Garry piled on the pressure, claiming he’d already shattered Michael Page’s confidence. “He knows, I don’t need to say what I’m talking about,” Garry said, hinting at some secret intel. He then dropped a bombshell, accusing Page and his team of trying to bribe Garry’s training partners at Chute Boxe in Brazil.

“Did you and your team offer thousands of dollars to get in Chute Boxe?” Garry taunted, suggesting Page’s intel attempt failed. He even claimed Page’s coach offered money to one of his Brazilian friends. Garry finished with a bang, stating Page and his coach were facing lifetime bans.

However, after hearing all these allegations from Ian Garry, Michael Page kept smiling and simply told Ian Garry, “Shut the f**k up.” As we know, MVP debuted in the UFC at UFC 299 in March against Kevin Holland, where he secured a win. While it is yet to be known if the accusations leveled against Page are true or not, Garry seemed quite confident about the claims.
