The UFC flyweight division is one of the most underrated ones in the promotion. The speed and technicality in these fights are genuinely something to be in awe of. Two of the most talked of personalities in the flyweight division are Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo.
The flyweight mixed artists have been going back and forth during media junkets and the fights themselves. Progressing like the Yin and Yang, these two fighters tend to keep besting each other in every fight they’ve fought.
UFC has decided to go with Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Brandon Moreno 4 for the UFC flyweight title next, sources say. The hope is to do it in July. https://t.co/ZA38Pj1mWv

We don’t need to see the same fight 4 times in a row🤦♂️ Just do Figgy vs Askar/Kai winner and Moreno vs Pantoja 3. The 4th fight can happen after those matchups

Is a fourth fight necessary between the same two fighters?
Repeated matchmaking has regularly been in dispute in the UFC. The rule of thumb for making the same rematch repeatedly is usually to determine a winner despite fighting once or twice before. Trilogies are pretty common in the UFC, but a fourth fight, not as much.

Making repeated fights due to a lack of stylistic matchups is something that the UFC and the fans should be concerned about. This issue points to the organization’s failure and the lack of exciting fighters on the roster at any given time.

However, in the case of these two fighters, the story is slightly different. If fans were to negate these two fighters’ draw, both men are equal in their wins. This leads to a disruptive end, which gives a nondefinite winner. However, a fourth fight will possibly put to rest the debate of who the better flyweight is.

Given the fact that it will be their fourth consecutive fight, it seems unnecessary. The bout could’ve been better placed after a few other fights for the champion and the number one contender.
