Elon Musk and Bill Gates are known to not share the best of relationships. The former has also taken shots at Gates a couple of times. Joe Rogan, a close aide of Musk, often keeps his eyes on such topics. Recently, in an episode of his widely popular Spotify podcast (The Joe Rogan Experience), the UFC commentator narrated a story about Musk and the Microsoft founder.

In episode #1847, Rogan was in conversation with stand-up comedian Theo Von. Narrating the story about Elon Musk dissing $108 billion worth Bill Gates, Joe Rogan said, “Bill Gates had heavily invested in some fund and this fund had been attacking Elon. Because he has a short position on Tesla stock.”

The color commentator further added, “Elon had a conversation with Bill Gates. It was a public thing because Bill Gates asked him to invest in one of his philanthropic ventures. And, Elon Musk asked him, ‘Do you still have a short position on Tesla?… He said, ‘Yeah, I do. What does that have to do with anything?’ He’s like, ‘F**k off. I’m not interested bro. You’re betting on me to lose.'”

Elon Musk, a friend of Joe Rogan, has appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience thrice. In one of his appearances, Musk narrated a story about Gates and seemed to take a dig at him.

Elon Musk spoke to Joe Rogan about Bill Gates

In 2017, Elon Musk unveiled the Tesla Electric Semi truck prototypes to the public. The Tesla CEO was very excited about the project. However, in one of his blogs, Gates revealed did not seem to be a fan of electric trucks. The Space X founder addressed these statements made by Gates on The Joe Rogan Experience.

When Rogan posed the question of Gates believing electric trucks can’t be done, Musk had quite the reply. The Space X founder mentioned that Gates’ views on the electric truck might not be his own. He said, “Probably somebody told him that and he’s just not that close to the physics of it.”

However, Musk also felt that Gates did not have bad intentions. “I don’t think he’s ill-intentioned. He just doesn’t know what he is talking about,” concluded Musk.

Similarly, when a user on Twitter questioned Musk about the same, the Space X founder was quick to dismiss Gates by saying the Microsoft founder had no clue.

While Elon Musk and Bill Gates took shots at each other, the two tycoons are placed on the list of the top 10 richest men in the world. While Musk occupied first place, Gates settled for fifth. It will be interesting to see if the two richest men shake hands and work on something in the future.
