Breaking free from the chains of contract disputes, Francis Ngannou has embarked on a new chapter in his fighting career. After bidding farewell to the UFC, Ngannou made headlines by signing with the Professional Fighters League (PFL). According to reports, Ngannou has signed one of the biggest deals with PFL. The deal guarantees a seven-digit purse, freedom to box, and also makes him the chairman of PFL Africa.
With the ink barely dry on his PFL deal, Ngannou expressed his desire to fight with Jon Jones in a cross-promotion event. The entire MMA world has been talking about this potential fight ever since Jones announced his return. However, renowned MMA fighter Michael Bisping poured a bucket of cold water on the idea of a cross-promotion extravaganza.

Michael Bisping closes the door on Francis Ngannou vs Jon Jones
In his recent video, Bisping made it clear that Ngannou‘s aspirations of a cross-promotion fight were nothing more than a pipe dream. According to Bisping, the likelihood of PFL and UFC joining forces is very highly unlikely. Such a cross-promotion event has never happened in the UFC, and Bisping believes that it is going to stay that way.
“Now, Francis Ngannou was talking about potentially down the line there’ll be a cross-promotion between the PFL and the UFC. I’m just going to tell you right now that he’s never ever going to happen. He’s gone over to the PFL. That fight’s not gonna happen, it’s not going to be a cross-promotion.”

Reflecting on past instances, Bisping highlighted the case of Fedor Emelianenko, a legendary fighter who never set foot inside the UFC despite an enticing offer. The stumbling block? A desire for a cross-promotion collaboration that the UFC simply wasn’t willing to entertain.
