Fans have been waiting for an African-American Spiderman for a long time. Well, the world of combat sports has finally given them their new ‘Spider-Man’. It is our very own former longtime UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva. Actually, ESPN shared a hilarious video of Silva posing as Spider-Man.

In this ‘skit’, we see ‘almost’ an MMA fight between two men dressed as Spider-Man and Batman. Interestingly, ‘Spider-Man’ has a good grip on his technique. And a lot of fans even highlighted this in their comments. Meanwhile, some predicted that it is Silva in the costume. Later, to our surprise, we find out that it really was Anderson Silva inside the mask.

Anderson Silva retired as one of the greatest middleweights of all time. Recently, he competed with Tito Ortiz in a boxing match. The 46-year-old knocked Ortiz out in the 81st second of the first round. Before that, Silva announced his retirement in 2020 after getting overpowered by Uriah Hall.

Fans including Charles Oliveira react to the video featuring Anderson Silva on Twitter

It was not only the fans who enjoyed this spin-off of Spiderman. Interestingly, we saw fellow Brazilian and UFC Lightweight champion Charles Oliveira replying “Amazing!!!” to this video. Whereas, one fan asked Silva to fight the Irish superstar Conor McGregor, who is planning his return soon.

A Fan probably knew all along that the ‘Spider-Man’ was indeed Silva from his fighting style. Another hilarious take on the video was a dialogue spin-off between Uncle Ben and Peter Parker; “Uncle Ben- “Peter, I was shot, where were you?” Spiderman- “No worry guys, I back, I back.”. This was a really interesting take, almost mimicking Silva as if he were the Spider-Man talking to Uncle Ben.
