The return of Conor McGregor back into the Octagon has taken over the world of mixed martial arts. The UFC chose the Irishman to coach against Michael Chandler in The Ultimate Fighter 31. However, talks of ‘The Notorious’ and ‘Iron’ going against each other in the Octagon are gaining traction with a fight date set to be announced. Recently, in ‘The MMA Hour’ with Ariel Helwani, the former lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira, gave his opinion about the outcome of the fight between McGregor and Chandler.

Surprisingly, the Brazilian warrior’s comments enraged the Irishman. Immediately after that, the former double champion took to Twitter and replied to ‘Do Bronx’. Without a doubt, MMA fans had a lot to say as the fighter’s voice reached social media platforms. While some fans called for a match between the two to settle the debates, others agreed with what Oliveira had to say.

During a recent episode of ‘The MMA Hour’, the famed MMA reporter asked the Brazilian about whether McGregor would win a title shot against Chandler. ‘Do Bronx’ believed that although ‘The Notorious’ was a fighter who sells a lot, it would be Chandler who might secure the win. He said, “I don’t think he’s going to win… He’s a guy that sells and he’s great to promote. People love to watch his fights, but I don’t think he’s going to win.” Furthermore, he reasoned that Chandler was an explosive fighter, while McGregor has been out of action for a while.

Seemingly upset with Oliveira’s comments, ‘Mystic Mac’ tweeted, “Charles Oliveira shut your pie hole.” He reverted by stating that he was 2-0 against Brazilian fighters and quickly turned that to 3-0, taking Rafael dos Anjos into account. Without a doubt, this garnered a lot of attention from the fans. While many demanded for a fight between McGregor and Oliveira to settle the differences, many others declared that ‘Do Bronx’ was in fact correct.
