The image of the sport and the athletes may be of people who are tough and don’t give in to emotions, but outside the cage, Dana White‘s UFC does a lot of sweet things for its fans.

Conor McGregor has praised a recent example of a sweet gesture. The UFC shared a video on Twitter where a kid who had a transplant was invited to the UFC headquarters. ‘Make A Wish’ foundation, South Nevada, in collaboration with UFC in the community, called the kid, Jason, to the UFC for a weekend. The boy named Jason has had a long medical history. When he had to go through a heart transplant, the donor was found to be a 20-year-old Muay Thai fighter. Jason himself is a UFC fan and particularly follows Israel Adesanya and the ‘Mystic Mac’. In his message to Jason, Israel Adesanya said, What’s up Jason, it’s your boy. I heard you’re a big supporter of mine and you just recently went for a fight, heart transplant, you have a Muay-Thai fighter’s heart inside you so just wanna say swadika, much love.”

Conor McGregor called the boy a fighter and appeared to have made the boy’s day as he looked visibly excited.

When Dana White helped a Thai Girl

While the UFC has always been very active in its community initiatives, Dana White saved a Thai Girl’s life once. Her mother was a teacher in the Tiger Muay-Thai gym. Once the news broke and Dana White received the request from some fighters of the gym, he did what was needed to save the girl, who was days away from death. The girl named Tuptim, needed an immediate liver transplant but they couldn’t afford the medical expenses. White came to the rescue of the young girl and her mother.
