His thirst for victories, antics, and trash talk made him easily stand out from the rest. The popularity gained by McGregor helped him earn more money, and at the moment he is the highest-paid fighter in the promotion.

The Irishman has earned a whopping $25,102,000 in his 14 UFC fights. According to recent reports, he has a net worth of $200 million. On several occasions, the Irishman himself has admitted that he was able to achieve a luxurious life as an athlete in the UFC. Now that the former tw0-division champion has returned to the MMA world to coach in TUF 31, McGregor reveals his major motive.

The Irishman wanted to come back to the MMA world because that’s what he is most passionate about. In a recent interview, he made it clear that his comeback is not for money but to continue in the sport.

Fans were not ready to swallow Conor McGregor’s statement

In a recent Instagram post made by ESPN MMA, McGregor talked about what motivates him the most. The Irishman was in an interview with The MMA Hour, where he detailed what makes him the happiest. The Irishman said, “I’ve got satin sheets, I’ve got silk sheets, and I’ve got f***ing Egyptian cotton duvets and pillows. I’ve got everything. Competition [is why I’m still fighting]… It’s the best buzz ever.” After listening to McGregor, the fans had vehement reactions to the Irish star.

Conor McGregor can soon prove himself

McGregor has already gotten over with the shooting of the 31st season of The Ultimate Fighter. He coached against Michael Chandler, and at the end of the season, the two will come face-to-face. However, nothing has been made official regarding the bout. If the fight comes to fruition, it will prove if McGregor lost the fire inside him or not.
