“Figureiredo and Moreno. Fight Forever” – UFC World in Frenzy as Brandon Moreno Confirms Date & Place of Quadrilogy After Finishing Kai Kara-France at UFC 277

UFC returned to the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, with two title bouts. The co-main event was contested for the interim flyweight championship. The former flyweight champion Brandon Moreno fought a streaking 125 lbs standout in Kai Kara-France. After a competitive bout, Moreno got the job done courtesy of a liver kick.

‘The Assassin Baby’ was coming off a loss to the champion, Deiveson Figueiredo. The ex Entram Gym and current Glory MMA & Fitness standout lost the championship in a razor-close bout. Thus, he was looking to put on a statement to have the fourth dance with the Brazilian champion.

Coming into the bout, the City Kickboxing product had three massive wins to his name after his last loss came in 2020. However, he couldn’t capture the moment; After a valiant effort, he got caught with a perfectly timed kick.

The 28-year-old Moreno and the 29-year-old Kiwi athlete took their time to feel each other’s timings in the initial minute before going to war. Both fighters had their moment in the bout, but the former flyweight champion found a perfect shot and won the interim flyweight championship.

In the post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, Moreno and the flyweight king agreed to see each other in December in Brazil after an iconic faceoff.

The bout ended in the third round. The official result had Moreno winning the interim championship via a T/KO.

Fight fanatics reacted to the bout on their social handles. Besides, they made comments about the historic fourth fight between two UFC fighters inside the Octagon – a deed that is not done before.

Both fighters appear to confirm they want to face each other in Brazil, possibly at the end of this year. However, UFC President Dana White revealed the promotion could go to Brazil early next year. Thus, it would be interesting to see how the unification bout scenario plays out and how the main card winner Alexandre Pantoja is involved in the mix.
