

When Donald Trump got banned on Twitter, the masses were divided. It has been a while since his ban, but UFC commentator Joe Rogan is not happy about it.

In a recent episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, Rogan spoke about Twitter and other social media platforms. He also discussed the pros and cons of Twitter banning people. One such disadvantage Rogan pointed out is that users who have been banned by Twitter go to other platforms and ‘run amok’.
He further spoke about free speech but also pointed out a pitfall that comes along with it.

Speaking about Trump’s Twitter ban, Rogan said, “I don’t like what Twitter did, I don’t think Twitter should have banned Trump. … I think that was a terrible idea. It’s a terrible precedent to set that you can decide that you don’t like a guy who’s a f***ing sitting President of the United States at the time and kick him off your platform because you don’t like the things he’s saying.”

Rogan himself has been under fire because of topics discussed on his podcast. Many people demanded Spotify take some kind of action to curb the issue of misinformation. While the podcaster continues to release new episodes, Spotify has introduced content policies and new features to help with the problem.

According to Rogan, censoring people is ‘definitely bad’. However, he also sees another side. He said, “There are some f***ing horrible people that were banned by Twitter that are now ruining these other social media apps.” He also discussed the ‘toxic’ tendencies of such people.
