The featherweight contest between Nelson and Padilla was a great back-and-forth fight. The Mexican fighter was constantly putting pressure on the Canadian fighter with some great blows. However, Kyle Nelson soon responded with some highly efficient strikes that made Padilla take a step back to reevaluate his next move.

With the outcome in a state of uncertainty during the third round, both fighters remained in close proximity to each other. Nelson and Padilla delivered a few punches. However, those punches did not have any significant impact. Ultimately, Nelson emerged victorious for the second consecutive time. He also remains unbeaten in 2023.
