Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) star Mike Perry has been in the headlines lately, not for losing his eight-round cruiserweight boxing match against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul back in July, but for the aftermath of that fight. Following his loss in that exhibition bout against Paul, BKFC’s new co-owner Conor McGregor fired him on social media in dramatic fashion.

However, two weeks ago, BKFC president David Feldman refuted McGregor’s claims about co-ownership when renowned MMA reporter Damon Martin shared on X that Feldman mentioned “The promotion is planning a massive card for the end of the year, with Mike Perry set to be involved in a ‘mega-fight,” which is expected to be announced in the upcoming weeks.” Guess what? Martin’s claims were accurate. Let’s delve into what David Feldman has to say.

David Feldman shows reality to Conor McGregor regarding the firing of Mike Perry

BKFC president recently sat down with MMA Fighting SBN to discuss BKFC’s upcoming highly anticipated event, scheduled to take place in Philadelphia. This marks the first time in BKFC’s history that the promotion will host an event in this city, and Feldman considers it the biggest achievement in the promotion’s history. Philadelphia is Feldman’s home state, which adds to his excitement.

He expressed, “It was like I get to do this in my home state. We’re targeting a mid-December date for our first show. Huge show in a huge arena. It’s going to be great. Mike [Perry] and we’re talking to Eddie [Alvarez] about coming back for another fight.” Feldman further heightened fans’ expectations by claiming, ” It’ll be a super, super stacked card. We actually have some current really good professional boxers that have been hitting us up. It’s going to be stacked.”

David Feldman’s idea to bring Mike Perry onto the Philadelphia card is definitely a superb move, considering Perry’s superstar status in the promotion. He is currently undefeated in his last five fights, which this a significant opportunity. However, Feldman’s decision raises questions about Conor McGregor’s ownership in the promotion, especially after BKFC president previously claimed to be “niddle moving.

David Feldman on Conor McGregor’s BKFC ownership

After breaking his leg badly against Dustin Poirier in 2021, Conor McGregor’s fighting career came to an end. However, it marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life as an entrepreneur. While McGregor had previously established himself in business, he gained significant momentum after 2021, evident in his Hollywood debut against Jake Gyllenhall in the recently released Road House 2.

Earlier this year, McGregor again surprised everyone by purchasing equity in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, a deal that had been in negotiation since a year ago and finalized in May 2024. In a candid interview with Ariel Helwani, David Feldman was asked how much equity McGregor holds in the promotion. Feldman responded, “We talked a little bit today. Just so you know, he’s going to be on your show soon. Whether you [ask him] or not. So I’m going to let him disclose what he wants to disclose about that.”

What are your thoughts on Conor McGregor’s ownership in BKFC? Do you still think it has “niddle moving” power for McGregor, or is just a low empty shell? Drop your opinion below.
