The TD Garden arena erupted when O’Malley silenced all his haters with a TKO win over Aljamain Sterling. Once he knocked Sterling down, he finished the job by raining down a flurry of fists, forcing the referee to call it in his favor. ‘Sugar’ was then seen coolly parading around the Octagon. It was, indeed, a legendary moment. UFC President Dana White was also really pleased with O’Malley’s performance that night.

However, Stephen Deleonardis, who was also in attendance, couldn’t control his excitement and happiness when his dear friend won the fight. He tweeted a video of O’Malley securing the win and then walking over to the Octagon fence, calm and composed. His caption was perfectly summarizing the feelings of a proud friend as he wrote: “I’m so happy“.

When O’Malley was scheduled to fight Bantamweight fighter Pedro Munhoz, the YouTuber had apparently made up his mind to put $1 million into his friend’s victory. However, O’Malley, being a smart individual and also a good friend, openly advised against it. He said that anything can happen in a fight and clearly expressed that he wouldn’t be happy to learn that his friend lost $1 million, although he was quite confident of his victory. According to sources, the podcaster is worth around $5,000,000.

When YouTube issued a warning to the Nelk Boys, who are also pretty pally with Dana White, stating that they would take down their channel and their videos if Deleonardis featured in any of their videos, the podcast hosts were left heartbroken. Even O’Malley was disheartened to learn this and proceeded to call his friend a ‘YouTube legend’. He was visibly sad about this predicament.
