Alex Volkanovski is the man of the moment in the UFC featherweight division. Undefeated in the UFC, Volkanovski has captured both the belt and the hearts of the fans. Recently, Volkanovski couldn’t contain his laughter as he made a blunder that involved former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor.

In a video uploaded by Israel Adesanya, fans could see Volkanovski sitting with him. Adesanya and Volkanovski were guessing fighters based on their tattoos. While doing that, the photo of McGregor’s tattoo on his stomach appeared.

Looking at the photo, Volkanovski answered, “Oh I do know this, oh s**t I’m gonna be running out of time. I know this one but I am tripping right now. Sean O’Malley.”

Upon learning the fighter was Conor McGregor and not Sean O’Malley, Volkanovski said, “F**k. Is that Conor? It is dude. F**k I knew I have seen it before.”

It was quite a hilarious moment to witness. However, things haven’t always been so comical and light between Conor McGregor and Alexander Volkanovski.

Conor McGregor called out Alexander Volkanovski

We know UFC superstar Conor McGregor for his outspoken nature. Along with his flamboyant fighting style, ‘The Notorious’ is also known for his epic call-outs. In a similar way, McGregor called out Alexander Volkanovski too.

After Volkanovski’s win against Brian Ortega, McGregor wasted no time in calling out Alexander Volkanovski. In a tweet, ‘The Notorious’ wrote, “I’d kick this Volkanovski head off like it was a rugby ball I was kicking. 5’4 and full of muscle! Hahahah little fart he is. Not even a little fart. A shart hahahah jackass.”

The UFC featherweight champion was quick to notice this call-out. In the post-fight media scrum, Volkanovski said, “I heard about it. Sounds like he’s on the piss. Good on him, I will be too…It’s Conor doing Conor things good on him. I don’t know if he wants to come back down to 145 (pounds) – well, obviously that’ll never happen”.

Considering Conor McGregor once ruled the featherweight division, a match-up between him and Volkanovski would be interesting. However, with his current status, it does not seem as if ‘The Notorious’ will return to the featherweight division.
