UFC President Dana White is without a doubt one of the most successful people in the world, not just in sports. The UFC mogul rose from bellboy to one of the world’s most assertive, ruthless, and profitable entrepreneurs. There would most likely have been no UFC if there was no Dana White.

Recently, in the post-event interview of Dana White’s Contender Series, White talked about the boxing match that took place between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder. Fury defended his WBC heavyweight championship with an 11th-round knockout, beating Wilder in front of a packed T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

White said, “I thought it was awesome. I think that the heavyweight fight that happened on Saturday and let me just tell you this. Going into it. My thought process was, for what? Why? You know what I mean?” You know why? Because boxing needed that. It was an incredible heavyweight fight. I thought both guys fought their as*** off. For Fury to come in at 277 pounds, and you know, fight the way that he fought. Get knocked down. Get back up. Keep fighting. It’s just, it’s exactly what boxing needed. So glad it happened, so congratulations to both of them and everybody involved in the sport of boxing.”

Dana White certainly gives credit where it is due and the Fury vs Wilder trilogy bout was certainly one for the ages. While appreciating other sports, White is also keen on making matches that can wow the world. One such fight will take place at UFC 269.
