Everyone loves to see when two of the most influential athletes in their sport showcase mutual respect. Conor McGregor and Arnold Schwarzenegger are known worldwide for their contributions to their sport and expanded the media bounds that the two individuals exposed to the sport.

‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor took to Twitter to grab the attention of the former 7-time Mr. Olympia.

Cycling has been a staple in the McGregor handbook of training, as it facilitates great cardio in a fast-paced sport.

The UFC superstar tweeted a picture of him riding a bicycle, captioning it, “What’s up, @Schwarzenegger!” McGregor looks in great shape on the bicycle. Naturally, the bodybuilding mogul replied to McGregor’s Tweet, captioning it, “You’re back!” with a picture of himself standing next to a bicycle, too.

It is no surprise that these two individuals know each other. Two great athletes with mutual respect are bound to meet at one point or another. Conor McGregor had touted that Arnold Schwarzenegger was a hero when they met before the Jose Aldo fight.

In the video, McGregor states that although the fight is a long way away, although Schwarzenegger is a busy man, he would love it if the former Mr. Olympia could make it to the fight.

Conor McGregor: Recuperation from the leg injury

McGregor was introduced to Schwarzenegger through the bodybuilding champ’s girlfriend Heather Milligan, a physical therapist who worked closely on helping McGregor get back on his feet following UFC 264.

Ever since then, now that Conor McGregor has gotten way better, Arnold Schwarzenegger tweeted his response to McGregor in a seemingly congratulatory manner.

McGregor suffered a clean break to his leg during his trilogy fight against lightweight contender Dustin Poirier, which ended the fight. After almost a year-long hiatus from the fight game, McGregor is back on his feet and cycling.

McGregor has stated that he wants to make a return to the octagon this year. He still has to start sparring, which will begin to test the strength of his leg. McGregor expects to make his return in June-July.
