According to ‘The Mirror,’ He said, “Did you see that not long ago, he [Oliveira] challenged McGregor?” He continued, “And McGregor is kind of ducking. Of course, we know, just ducking. It’s obvious he won’t want to. It’s a bad fight for him.”

Oliveira is now set to face off against Islam Makhachev for the lightweight title in the main event of UFC 280. This event will take place on October 22 in Abu Dhabi. Dos Santos also commented on this fight before the news was confirmed.

He said, “It looks like he [Oliveira] will accept the fight against Makhachev, hoping that Khabib will come out of retirement to fight him later.” This is an exciting point of view, which might very well happen soon.

What lies ahead for Conor McGregor?

The Irishman has been inactive for over a year after sustaining an injury in his last fight against rival Dustin Poirier. In his time away from the octagon, he has undergone successful surgery and is set to make a return to the octagon.
