Moreover, the middleweight seems to have a great sense of humor and sarcasm in all of his videos.

The UFC middleweight regularly takes shots at fighters on his Twitter account and makes videos every once in a while. Brendan Schaub and former UFC welterweight Ben Askren were the latest to come under his radar. ‘Borrachinha’ took a dig at Schaub’s stand-up comedy stint and Ben Askren’s literal stand-up game in MMA.

Reposting a meme and captioning it with a rather straightforward statement about Schaub’s tenacity for comedy, the #4 ranked UFC middleweight tweeted, “Hard question. When I heard Brendan Ive been glad for not understand English.”

As we all know, Costa struggled with English during his journey in the UFC. Despite improving a lot, ‘Borrachinha’ seems to regret learning the language after hearing the former MMA fighter turned stand-up comedian’s jokes.

Paulo Costa spared no expense in a good dig coming to Ben Askren. A proficient wrestler, ‘Funky’ is known for the lack of stand-up game in his MMA career. Lauded as one of the most underwhelming stand-up abilities in the fight game, Costa didn’t miss his chance to take a shot at both of them with one meme.

What’s next for Paulo Costa in the UFC? 

Paulo Costa’s undefeated streak in MMA ended at the hands of ‘The Last Stylebender’ Israel Adesanya. Following his first loss, he suffered another one at the hands of Marvin Vettori. With the exciting proceedings at middleweight currently, Costa’s next fight seems a little cloudy.

Perhaps some more time and a bit more clarity about his future in the middleweight division could clear up doubts about future opponents. Whatever happens, Costa will end up fighting a top middleweight sometime in 2022.
